Why Team for Life? Why Fundraise?
As a Team for Life member you will have the unique opportunity to participate in the SOLD OUT Walt Disney World® Dopey Challenge, Goofy’s Race and a Half Challenge, the Marathon, Half Marathon AND 10K while raising funds for Lazarex Cancer Foundation, helping end stage cancer patients to get a second chance at life through FDA-approved clinical trials. Lazarex reimburses patients directly for expenses incurred with participating in a clinical trial and will pay for a companion to go along for moral support.
With this in mind, sometimes meeting your fundraising goal can be even more rewarding than crossing the finish line!
Where does your money go?
Our program services budget is 83% (or $0.83 of every dollar) and our annual operating expenses are 17%. Because our founders cover the cost of our annual operating expenses, 100% of each dollar you raise or donate goes directly to our patient program services.
What Do I Get?
All Team for Life members who meet their fundraising goal for the Walt Disney World® Dopey Challenge, Goofy’s Race and a Half Challenge, the Marathon, Half Marathon AND 10K will receive the following:
- Race registration fees paid for (Yep! We will pay your race registration fee!!)
- Lazarex technical race day T-shirt
- 2014 Walt Disney World® Official Race Shirt
- 2014 Walt Disney World® Official Finisher’s Medal
- Invite to any additional race day festivities included in the Walt Disney World® Marathon Weekend registration

Membership Fee?
The (nonrefundable) Team for Life membership fee will be credited to your fundraising webpage as your 1st donation!!
Dopey Challenge: $250.00
Goofy’s Race and a Half Challenge: $150.00
Full Marathon or Half Marathon: $100.00
10K: $50.00
What Do I Give?
All Team for Life members participating in the Walt Disney World® Dopey Challenge, Goofy’s Race and a Half Challenge, the Marathon, Half Marathon AND 10K will be responsible for reaching a fundraising minimum (which includes your TFL membership fee/1st donation) by Monday, December 30, 2013 at 5pm PST.
Fundraising minimums:
Walt Disney World® Dopey Challenge - $1,250.00
Walt Disney World® Goofy’s Race and a Half Challenge - $1,000.00
Walt Disney World® Marathon ONLY - $900.00
Walt Disney World® Half ONLY - $800.00
Walt Disney World® 10K ONLY - $650.00
We will provide you with your very own fundraising site and URL, which will help you spread the word and reach out to your family, friends, coworkers, etc. for their support in your fundraising efforts.
If the fundraising minimums stated above are not met by 5pm PST on Monday, December 30, 2013, or if you decide to cancel your participation in this event for any reason, your credit card on file will be charged to make up the difference of the appointed minimum. NO EXCEPTIONS.
These charges are 100% refundable if you continue to fundraise and reach the minimum by Friday, February 7, 2014 at 5pm PST. Once you have fulfilled your fundraising requirement, Lazarex will issue a refund check for the amount charged to your credit card to meet the fundraising requirement.

When and Where is the Expo?
Waiver/Packet-Pick Up - Health & Fitness Expo
Participants must attend Packet Pick-up at Disney's Health & Fitness Expo to receive their race packet, bib, and tech shirt. Finisher medals will be distributed to finishers during the race. None of these items will be mailed to registrants that did not participate. Be sure to bring photo ID (required for bib pick-up).
